INTELLIGENCE ANNEX
(Operations Order No. 575)
Other operations being curtailed by weather the plan for the 15th Air Force is to destroy remaining active Oil Refinery and Oil Storage at TRIESTE, heavily loaded M/Y next to active QUAY and two subs at POLA. The two subs at POLA purported to be the only two remaining German submarines in the Adriatic and can interfere with amphibious operations in that area.
Exact location of Partisan units on the Mainland is unknown and Allied Troops are operating on BRAC, HAVAR and VIS Islands.
FLAK: There are 45 heavy guns present most of which are to the north of the target.
FIGHTERS: Enemy fighters in North Eastern ITALY will probably not be airborne and opposition from fighters is considered negligable.
See latest Ground Summary.
